Itinerary (Tentative)

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive via airport shuttle to the hotel.

Check-in at 2:00 pm

Receive welcome drink and welcome bags.

Meet everyone at the welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 2: Black history and graffiti tour
Mud volcano

Stroll the colonial streets and learn about the history of Cartagena and the AfroColombians who call it home. Learn history and sociopolitical attitudes through vibrant murals around the neighborhood.

Cartagena is as photogenic as you are so we'll make sure to have a photographer on hand to snap your pics.

Later on, we'll visit the famous mud volcano where you can immerse yourself in the healing mineral-infused clay.

Day 3: Beach Time

Spend the day relaxing in a cabana on an exclusive island not far from Cartagena. Take a dip in the water, read a book, or head over to the DJ area to dance.

Evening Chiva party bus (optional)

A Chiva is an old school bus turned into a party vehicle. Cruise through Cartagena at night in an open-air wooden party bus while listening to salsa, reggaeton, and other local music. BYOB

Day 4: Palenque

Founded by an escaped enslaved king from The Congo, Palenque gained autonomy in the 1600s, becoming the first freed town in the Americas. Learn the history, dances, and unique creole language of the Palenqueros, and discover why Palenque is known as "Africa in Colombia", but also how it is the birthplace of pertinent Colombian culture.

In the evening, tour Cartagena at night on a very lively and traditional bus called a "Chiva".

Day 5: Island Hopping

Spend the day Island hopping around the beautiful Rosario Islands on a private boat. Visit the famous Playa Blanca beach and Cholon.

In the evening, we will gather for a goodbye dinner.

Day 6: Farewell

It's time to go home and think back on the trip and your new friends fondly.

Is there double occupancy available?

No. The package is based on single occupancy. Each traveler will have their own room and en-suite bathroom.

We get a mixture of women who are first-time travelers, experienced travelers, and solo travelers who want to try groups. While the women often range in age and background, common themes are the desire to have a safe space to unapologetically be themselves, build connections with one another, and openness to new experiences and cultures.

What time should I arrive and what time should I leave Cartagena?

Check-in is at 2:00 pm. Plan to arrive to Cartagena no later than 6 pm on the first day to ensure your attendance at the welcome dinner. Arrivals after 6 pm will have to arrange their own transportation to the welcome dinner.

Check-out is at 12:00 pm the final day of the trip.

What travel style is this trip?

The Cartagena trip is a mixture of luxurious and authentic experiences. Your accommodations will be comfortable and stylish and have regular hotel ammenities. Dining options will range from high-end locations to local dining spots. Transportation will be comfortable and private (except the boat ride to the private beach).

How big is the travel group

The group will have a maximum of 15 women. The beauty of intimate groups is the personal attention each member gets and the meaningful moments of bonding with the other women.
